Alleke slouched in her high chair and stared at the plate of food sitting in front of her. “Why do I always want candy?” she asked and sighed.

Alleke crawled up on the couch next to me and pointed at the computer on my lap. “I want to see a movie of someone dying,” she said. I sat back and looked at her. “Why?” I asked. Alleke shrugged. “Because I haven’t seen that before,” she said.
