The sad truth is kids can have fun without their parents.

We are celebrating Alleke's 3rd birthday today. I'm eating a cupcake with sprinkles as I write these words.

This morning I hesitated before asking Alleke's teacher if she could take a picture of Alleke's preschool birthday party, but I'm glad I did. She took 22 pictures in two hours!

See all the photos Alleke's teacher took this morning...

happy birthday Alleke!!
today something really funny happened. I'm from Madfrid and I've been reading your blog for a year more or less. I was walking in the street this morning and suddenly I saw the three of you!! Alleke was carried an April was wearing aq pale blue tshirt :-)
I was about to say hi to you but i refrained myself as it felt too ridiculous:you did not know who am I but I know part of your life!!
anyway I liked the feeling of you: seemed relaxed and nice :-)

Ooh how exciting that the person who commented above saw Alleke! I don't live in Madrid any more, but if I were back there and I saw Alleke, I would feel like I wanted to go and say hi!

Thanks for the pics, I lived in Spain a long time ago and I had forgotten about the little smocks that the Spanish kids wear, they are so cute! My little girl just turned 3 also, her clothes would stay a lot cleaner if they wore those here in the US.
