Why Spain?
I was recently interviewed by The Father Life magazine. One of the big questions we talked about was why have April and I decided to raise Alleke in Spain? If you’re curious to know my answer, head over to The Father Life and read the interview.

Hello Spain Dad (and family!),
I have been reading your blog through blog reader for a while, and enjoy your posts on your family and the happenings.
I just read the article in The Father Life magazine and was really excited about what you are doing. The reason is because, it somehow seems familiar, to me. I am a kid who grew up in Spain (Guadalajara and then Zamora), my parents are missionaries (still over there). I am so blessed to have done that, I would not change that time for anything. It is hard to be back in the US sometimes, and it is also hard to return…spain has changed, and I have grown up. I wrote a blog about this a while back. Anyway…what you are doing for eachother, and for your daughter in following your dreams is a passion she will see in you and admire. It doesn’t matter how hard it is on her and you, when it comes to sticking to a passion she will learn how it is not always easy, but always completely rewarding, and exactly where she should be.
Thanks for sharing with your readers. I enjoy your blog…and even more now that I know you are affiliated with an awesome christ-beliveing church!!
I have a couple of blogs: http://www.bethanyblogs.blogspot.com/
is my main one, and then I have one about trying to teach my boys spanish: http://www.madeinspanish.blogspot.com
anyway…muchos saludos, hasta pronto.
