International Adoption in Spain
Here you will find our step-by-step process of adopting a child internationally through Spain, including links to the blog posts I’ve written along the way. We began in November 2007.
1. We decided to adopt a child.
2. We attended the mandatory informational meeting.
3. I lost my residency, which set us back one year.
4. We officially opened our adoption.
5. We took the mandatory adoption class.
6. We chose to adopt from Colombia.
7. We started our home study (and completed the first two interviews).
8. We signed the papers to stop our home study for now.
